HELP! Trouble finding affiliate programs in NZ for my site

Hello all,

I am new to this forum - but thankful for it! This seems to be the only credible online community in NZ for affiliate marketers.

Anyway, I need help. I'm the creator of an affiliate product called The Moving Checklist, which helps people plan their move in advance. If you haven't heard of it, you can download it from my site www.themovingchecklist.co.nz

I've had great success with The Moving Checklist - more people download and use it than I ever thought. And people really like it. My problem is: I can't find ANY relevant affiliate programs to promote on The Moving Checklist (eg home and contents insurance, travel insurance, furniture movers, storage units etc).

Of course I've joined sites like ClicksGalore and Commission Monster - but have had no luck finding any relevant programs. I've also browsed companies sites' individually (eg AA Insurance, furniture removal companies etc) to see if they have an affiliate program, but no luck.

To solve my problem, the only solution I can come up with is to approach each company I want to work with individually and ask them to set up an affiliate program.

What are your thoughts? Is it resource intensive for a company to set up an affiliate program? Would it be feasible to approach organisations with this idea if they'll only have 1 affiliate (me) to promote them? And who would be the best person in the company to approach, the webmaster or marketing manager?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
