Broadband investment in New Zealand

I came across the National Parties policies on launching broadband across the rest of NZ yesterday (I guess I haven't been following the news in a week or so).

Fibre to 75% of NZ homes .. that'd be very nice to see and would help lift the online market here in NZ substantially.

I'd be happy to see this happen and am surprised Labour have come out saying it isn't doable.

Hopefully whoever ends up in government by the end of the year actually does go ahead with something like this plan!
