That's frustrating Sheldon, they should be responding a lot better than that.

There's quite a vicious cycle within affiliate programs in NZ at the moment where often the people running the affiliate program don't take affiliates seriously so it's not worth an affiliate's time promoting them. And so it goes around and around.

There are a few who are trying hard to change the habit, e.g. 1cover.co.nz who are sponsoring affiliateprograms.co.nz and aiming to get more involved.

If you're not using them you should give it a shot, it'd be great to hear your opinion.

I'd applied for their affiliate programme twice over the last 2 years and been completely ignored. I send them about 200 clicks for free so I guess they think that they shouldn't have to pay for what I give them free.

Thanks for your support.

Its been on my list for some time to get this website and forums back up to scratch but it always seems to drop behind my other projects for the moment.

It will happen so keep your eye out here over time.

Look as a newbie I would like to add my 2 bobs worth here. There are some valuable archive posts to mention as well. The site is ranked #1 in NZ Google so the SEO is well optimized. I believe here is a worthwhile opportunity to develop this more as your only competitor is clixGalore. I really like the simplicity of your site so all I can offer are words of encouragement. Lets Do It

I agree with your and finau taufalele comments. However some publishers do have their own membership for affiliates and can directly provide code links and banners etc needed to ensure tracking is optimized. This of course comes with similar terms and condition a third party provider. What is best I don't know but if you want to create a lot of work for self tracking product different as opposed to under one hood then the choice remains what nest suite. After all it is a capitalist society we live in.
All the best.

SEO is an important component to work on to maximise rankings in the search engines. I believe that affiliate marketers if the goals are to increase revenue then SEO is important and goes hand in hand with keywords as the keywords are typed in SE like Google.

You have to spend the time to ensure your content (product) reflects what search engines bots are looking for. Use of Tags and links etc must also be optimised within the content to drive traffic. Without traffic you have a best guess to drive traffic and if prospective buyers do land on your page then can the content persuade the visitor to click on the advertising banners?

Google recently began slapping sites from top ranking because of poor SEO from poor webmaster planning. I have not got time to discuss techniques but visit my sites below and there are tools and links that can help in addition check out Google Webmaster tools for a free keyword search and SEO tools for help.

Cheers

I am not surprised that NZ offers little in the way of Internet Marketing. It is shameful literary because of the potential for affiliate marketers alongside advertisers to support our economy. If the standard of Affiliate Marketing was peer monitored it can go along way to be successful.

I am a newbie and I have been guided by our Australian counterparts and this experience of online tutorial as well as forums learning from the best with webinars etc has been great.

I would like to see more and more opportunities like this here in NZ and give confidence to advertisers that there is a great deal of interest in IM.
