SEO is an important component to work on to maximise rankings in the search engines. I believe that affiliate marketers if the goals are to increase revenue then SEO is important and goes hand in hand with keywords as the keywords are typed in SE like Google.

You have to spend the time to ensure your content (product) reflects what search engines bots are looking for. Use of Tags and links etc must also be optimised within the content to drive traffic. Without traffic you have a best guess to drive traffic and if prospective buyers do land on your page then can the content persuade the visitor to click on the advertising banners?

Google recently began slapping sites from top ranking because of poor SEO from poor webmaster planning. I have not got time to discuss techniques but visit my sites below and there are tools and links that can help in addition check out Google Webmaster tools for a free keyword search and SEO tools for help.

Cheers
